Meet The Cubs!
Welcome to my little corner of the internet where I'll be sharing the wonderfully chaotic, hilariously messy, and undeniably love-filled journey of motherhood (and everything that comes with it!). I figured it was time I properly introduced the stars of the show – my incredible little guys – and the slightly less little (but equally important!) my partner in crime!
First up, meet Elijah, my vibrant and oh-SO-energetic five-year-old. And yes, if you know, you KNOW! He's a proud member of the COVID baby train, which basically means his early years were… unique, to say the least. This kid has a spirit that could power a small city, a curiosity that knows no bounds, and an opinion on just about everything. He keeps me on my toes, challenges me daily, and fills our home with a constant stream of imaginative play and (let's be honest) the more than occasional epic meltdown. But beneath the boundless energy is a sweet, thoughtful little soul who melts my heart with his random acts of kindness and surprisingly curious questions.
Then there's the newest addition to our wild den, my sweet little Teddy! At three months old, he's still in that adorable, squishy phase where naps are unpredictable, communication is mostly coos and cries, and the world is a brand new, fascinating place. He's brought a different kind of chaos to our lives! The sleep deprived, milk-stained kind, but also an immeasurable amount of pure love. Those little sweet smiles and the way he snuggles into my chest? Yeah, they make all the sleepless nights worth it!
Now, behind every crazed but fiercely loving mama bear is a rock-solid support system. Enter Andrew, my amazing fiancé and the absolute best dad these boys could ask for. Seriously, this man is the calm in the storm that often swirls around our house. He's also my best friend, the one who can always make me laugh, even when I feel like I'm drowning in laundry, baby burp cloths and breastmilk!
Our story? Well, it's a modern one! Andrew and I met back in 2022 on the one and only Tinder! Yep, swiping right actually led me to my forever person. Meeting Andrew felt like a breath of fresh air – a genuine connection with someone who saw me for who I was, the mom and the woman. He embraced Elijah from the start, and now, watching him with both my boys fills my heart with a love I never knew existed.
